The Miami Marlins have a handshake agreement with Robinson Cano Jr., a 16-year-old infielder and son of eight-time MLB All-Star Robinson Cano. Reports on Monday say the club has reached a $1 million pre-agreement to sign him as part of its 2028 international class.
“This makes me feel old,” one fan wrote on social media. Cano’s father spent 17 seasons in the majors after debuting with the New York Yankees in 2005, so fans who grew up watching him now follow the next Cano through the same pipeline.
