Emiliano Martínez has claimed that Argentina would beat Spain if the two sides met today, just over three months after the Albiceleste lost the 2026 FIFA World Cup final to them.
Spain won the trophy 1-0 after extra time at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, with Ferran Torres scoring in the 106th minute from Nico Williams’ knock-down. It was the Spanish side’s second World Cup title, 16 years after their first in South Africa.
