Wayne Rooney has labelled Manchester United’s players ‘selfish’ and ‘like babies’, accusing captain Bruno Fernandes of deflecting scrutiny from his own form. The comments were made after Fernandes questioned Michael Carrick’s tactics following the 4-1 Champions League loss at Como.
Speaking on The United Stand podcast on Thursday, United’s all-time leading scorer said the public complaints from Fernandes, and from Lisandro Martinez a week earlier, risk tearing the dressing room apart.
