What is the significance of India’s record at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium?
Across the three T20Is played in Hyderabad, India have demonstrated the ability to win in different match situations. Two of the three victories came while chasing, with India successfully overhauling totals of 209 and 187 against West Indies and Australia respectively.
The October 2024 match against Bangladesh added a different dimension to India’s record at the ground. India’s total of 297/6 in that fixture was recognised as the highest T20I score posted by a full-member nation, and the 133-run winning margin underlined the scale of that performance.
India’s overall record at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in T20Is therefore stands at three wins from three matches, with victories by 6 wickets against West Indies in 2019, by 6 wickets against Australia in 2022 and by 133 runs against Bangladesh in 2024.
