MLS star Timo Werner has made his stance clear on the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The German, who joined San Jose Earthquakes in January, believes Lionel Messi is ‘undoubtedly the greatest’ player ever.
Werner thinks it will be very difficult for anybody to surpass what the Argentine has achieved in football. However, the forward believes Cristiano Ronaldo is at a similar level to Lionel Messi and at the end of the day, the GOAT claim rests on people’s personal preferences.
