Barcelona star Fermin Lopez has expressed his disappointment at missing out on a potential opportunity to face Lionel Messi in Qatar, saying he would have loved to share the pitch with the Argentine legend.
Lopez made the admission in an interview with GQ, saying Messi and Andres Iniesta were his childhood idols. The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Barcelona, but Messi and Iniesta had already left the Catalan club by the time he was promoted to the senior team.
