FC Bayern Munich’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß has slammed suggestions that Lionel Messi should win the Ballon d’Or this year. He believes that Harry Kane deserves to be named the best for his performances last season.
Speaking to the media, Hoeneß claimed it would be ‘nonsense’ if Messi won the Ballon d’Or again. He does not see any reason why the Argentine is the best in the world and said:
