Journalist Tomás Gonzalez-Martín reckons Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe could prosper more by playing alongside Carlos Espi rather than Vinicius Junior, who extended his deal this summer at the Santiago Bernabeu till 2032.
Vinicius, 26, has had a slow start to the 2026-27 season under new boss Jose Mourinho, managing a goal and three assists in six games across competitions. All four goal contributions have come in La Liga, where Los Blancos trail leaders Barcelona (15) by three points after five games.
