Having made his professional debut for the Saitama Seibu Lions in 2019, Kaima Taira has gone on to establish himself as one of the best starting pitchers in the NPB.
In 2020, he won the Pacific League Rookie of the Year award, and he also has four NPB All-Star selections to his name. Known for his incredibly unique build and elite velocity, he is widely regarded as one of the best starting pitchers in Asia.
