The Football Association’s Talent Identification Programme (TID) continues its nationwide search for the country’s brightest young footballers as the final phase of the 2026 Elite Academy Schools selection moves to the Brong Ahafo and Ashanti Regions.
The exercise will be held at Nana Ofosu Gyeabour Park in the Brong Ahafo Region and Urban Park in the Ashanti Region, where some of the most promising young talents identified during the earlier phases of the programme will undergo further assessment.
The final selection stage is designed to identify exceptional young footballers who possess both the talent and commitment to combine football with academic excellence. Successful players will earn admission into the GFA’s Elite Academy Schools at Bolgatanga Senior High School, Prempeh College in Kumasi and Achimota School in Accra, where they will continue their football development alongside quality education.
A total of 72 talented boys and girls from the two regions are expected to participate in this crucial phase of the programme, where they will be evaluated by the GFA’s trained and accredited technical staff and talent scouts.
The Talent Identification Programme remains one of the Football Association’s flagship youth development initiatives, providing gifted young players from every corner of the country with an equal opportunity to be discovered and nurtured through a structured football development pathway.
