Chairman of the Division One League (DOL) Super Cup Committee, Rabeh El-Eter, has praised X1 Energy Drink for partnering the Football Association as the headline sponsor of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup.

Ahead of the competition, El-Eter described the sponsorship as a major boost for the tournament and a clear demonstration of the private sector’s growing confidence in Ghana football.

According to him, the partnership comes at a crucial time for the development of the Division One League and will contribute significantly to enhancing the profile and appeal of the competition.

“We are delighted to welcome X1 Energy Drink as the headline sponsor of the DOL Super Cup. This partnership is a huge endorsement of the work being done to develop domestic football and create meaningful opportunities for clubs and players,” Rabeh said.

He noted that corporate support remains vital to the growth and sustainability of football competitions, particularly at the developmental level where clubs require greater exposure and investment.

He commended the Executive Council of the Football Association for securing the landmark partnership and expressed confidence that the collaboration would elevate the competition to new heights.

“The commitment shown by X1 Energy Drink goes beyond sponsorship. It is an investment in the future of Ghana football, particularly the clubs, players and communities that form the backbone of the Division One League,” he added.

Rabeh further highlighted the importance of the competition as a platform for identifying and developing young talents, stressing that the support from X1 Energy Drink would help create an even better environment for players to showcase their abilities.

The 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup will be hosted at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium and will feature eight clubs drawn from the three zones of the Division One League. The tournament is expected to provide exciting competition while serving as a key preparatory event ahead of the new league season.

With X1 Energy Drink on board as headline sponsor, stakeholders are optimistic that this year’s tournament will set new standards and further strengthen the commercial value of Ghana’s second-tier football competition.
