Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the talk of the town in IPL 2026. The way the 15-year-old southpaw took on the best of the bowlers was a sight to behold. He had a record-breaking run in his sophomore year of IPL cricket, scoring a mammoth 776 runs at a strike rate of 237.70. The young prodigy played a key role in the Rajasthan Royals’ run to the playoffs and was their most dangerous batter.

He broke Chris Gayle’s age-old record of the most sixes hit by a batter in a single IPL season. He hit a massive 72 sixes in the entire season, taking down bowlers mercilessly. He hit a massive 12 sixes in his playoff knock against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he scored 97 runs from just 29 balls, the most sixes hit by a batter in a playoff innings in IPL.
