FIFA TDS: Central and Volta Regions Record Impressive Wins on Day Three of Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship

The 2026 Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship continued with another exciting round of matches on Sunday at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, with the Central Region and Volta Region producing standout performances on Matchday Three.

On Pitch 1, Volta Region opened the day’s proceedings with an emphatic 3-0 victory over the Ashanti Region. Nafiu Iddrissu starred for the Volta side, scoring once and providing an assist to earn the Player of the Match award.

The second game saw Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS held to a 1-1 draw by the Northern Region. Northern Region, however, secured the bonus point after prevailing 6-5 in the penalty shootout.

Elite Academy – Achimota SHS took an early lead against the Eastern Region, but the Eastern side mounted a spirited comeback to claim a 2-1 victory. Saddick Adjettey Sowah was named Player of the Match after an outstanding display capped by the winning goal.

The final game on Pitch 1 ended goalless between the Western Region and Ashanti Region. Ashanti Region eventually won the penalty shootout 4-2 to claim the additional point, although Jacob Essel of Western Region was voted Player of the Match.

On Pitch 2, Central Region delivered the biggest win of the day, thrashing the Upper West Region 5-0. Elijah Adjei’s excellent performance earned him the Player of the Match award as Central Region continued their impressive campaign.

The Brong Ahafo Region also enjoyed a successful outing, defeating the Upper East Region 2-0. Borah Soborn Domakaa played a key role in the victory, scoring one goal and assisting another to take home the Player of the Match accolade.

Greater Accra Region edged Elite Academy – Prempeh College 1-0 in a closely contested encounter, with Edward Mensah Tetteh emerging as the standout performer and receiving the Player of the Match award.

In the final fixture of the day, Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS secured a 2-0 victory over Volta Region. Lawrence Amedzogbe’s influential display earned him the Player of the Match recognition as the academy side finished the day on a high note.

With several players continuing to impress scouts and technical observers, the tournament remains a valuable platform for talent identification and development. The championship moves into Day Four on Monday with more intriguing fixtures expected as teams continue their pursuit of success.
