IPL 2026: RR vs LSG Match 64 – Who will be Impact Players for today’s match?

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) play their penultimate game of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) when the two sides lock horns in Match 64 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday, May 19.

RR desperately need a win to keep their qualification hopes alive after winning just once in their last five matches, and in the process, have fallen out of the top four. Riyan Parag’s side come into the game on the back of an away defeat at the hands of the Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

LSG, on the other hand, are still at the foot of the standings, but have found some form towards the end of the season. They have two wins from their last three games, coming against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings. 

Both sides used an overseas player as their Impact Sub in their previous matches. RR called in Sri Lanka’s Dasun Shanaka towards the tail end of their batting and used him as an all-rounder. LSG, meanwhile, used Australia international Josh Inglis off the bench against CSK in the second innings during their run chase. 

Predicted Impact Players for Rajasthan Royals (RR):

Dasun Shanaka: Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka could once again be used as an Impact Sub against LSG. He took the all-important wicket of KL Rahul in the previous game.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius: A top-order batter, Lhuan-dre Pretorius could be used as an emergency substitute if RR lose early wickets within the first five or six overs. 

Ravi Bishnoi: An experienced IPL spinner, Bishnoi has taken 11 wickets from nine matches at an economy rate of 9.88.

Shubham Dubey: A hard-hitting lower-order batter, Shubham Dubey has scored 76 runs from five matches at a strike-rate of 146.15.

Sandeep Sharma: A fast bowling option, Sandeep Sharma is an IPL veteran with more than 150 wickets to his name in the tournament. 

Predicted Impact Players for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):

Josh Inglis: LSG’s new designated Impact Player while chasing a total, Josh Inglis has already scored 134 runs from three matches, at a strike-rate of 191.42.

Ayush Badoni: Once a regular in the LSG setup, Ayush Badoni has lost his place in the playing XI after playing eight matches and scoring 172 runs at an average of 21.50.

Himmat Singh: Yet another batting option, Himmat Singh has enjoyed a fruitful IPL season, hitting 92 runs from six matches at a strike-rate of 133.33.

Arjun Tendulkar: A left-arm pacer, Arjun Tendulkar has not made his IPL debut for LSG just yet, but remains a handy bowling option off the bench. 

Manimaran Siddharth: Manimaran Siddharth has played four matches for LSG this season, taking six wickets in the process.

Expert Opinion and Final Prediction

• Home Advantage: RR have played three matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium this season and are yet to taste victory on their official home ground.
• Recent Form: RR have a 3-2 record against LSG in their last five IPL meetings, but their current form includes just one win from five games. 
• Balanced Side: Both RR and LSG have an equally well-balanced side as the IPL draws to an end. 
• Prediction: With these factors in their favour, expect a close game, with Lucknow Super Giants coming out on top in Jaipur.
