Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in Match No. 57 of IPL 2026 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on May 13. Batting first, KKR posted a competitive 192/4 in 20 overs, powered by a brilliant knock from Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who scored 71 off 46 balls with seven fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 154.35. For RCB, three bowlers chipped in with one wicket each.

In reply, RCB chased down the target comfortably, reaching 194/4 with five balls remaining. Virat Kohli starred with a sensational unbeaten 105 off 60 deliveries, smashing 11 fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 175. Despite Kartik Tyagi picking up 3/32 in four overs for KKR, the visitors could not stop Kohli from guiding RCB to victory.

With the win, RCB climbed to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points, while KKR remained eighth with nine points.

  • Virat Kohli registered his joint third-highest number of hundreds in T20 cricket.
  • Kohli scored his ninth IPL century, the most by any player in tournament history.
  • Kohli became the fastest batter to complete 14,000 T20 runs, reaching the milestone in just 409 innings.
  • Kohli now holds the record for most IPL seasons with 400-plus runs (12).
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the leading wicket-taker against KKR in IPL history with 33 wickets.
  • RCB’s 194/4 became the highest successful run chase in IPL matches held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.
  • Kohli extended his tally to 1126 IPL runs against KKR, the second-most by any batter against the franchise.
  • Kohli now has nine 50-plus scores against KKR, joint fourth-most against a single IPL team.
  • Kohli equalled the record for most IPL hundreds while chasing with three centuries.
  • Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal added 92 runs, the third-highest second-wicket partnership for RCB against KKR in IPL history.
