Gujarat Titans registered a dominant 77-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in Match No. 52 of IPL 2026 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on May 9.
Batting first, GT posted a massive 229/4 in 20 overs, thanks to impressive half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill. Sudharsan scored 55 off 36 balls, while Gill played a captain’s knock of 84 from just 44 deliveries. The duo stitched together a brilliant 118-run opening partnership in only 65 balls. For RR, Brijesh Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/47.
In reply, RR were bundled out for 152 in 16.3 overs despite Ravindra Jadeja top-scoring with 38 runs. Rashid Khan starred with the ball for GT, claiming 4/33, while Jason Holder chipped in with 3/12.
With the win, GT climbed to second place on the IPL 2026 points table with 14 points from 11 matches, while RR slipped to fifth with 12 points from 11 games.
