The struggling Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to face a resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday, May 8. This is going to be the 51st match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals are stationed at No. 7 on the points table, with four wins and six defeats from 10 games. Meanwhile, the Knights have three wins and five losses from nine matches. The three-time champions are currently placed at No. 8 in the standings, but can move to No. 7 if they can extend their winning streak to four matches.

The Capitals have won only two out of their last eight matches. In their most recent clash, they were outplayed by the Chennai Super Kings at home. Meanwhile, the Knights are coming into this encounter on the back of a seven-wicket win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in an away fixture.

Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Pitch Report

The Arun Jaitley Stadium has generally been known for providing some excellent batting surfaces, especially in recent seasons. However, bowlers, especially the seamers, have gotten help in the last few games. The Capitals were bowled out for 75 on this ground against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru when Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood wreaked havoc. The Super Kings also bowled well in the last game, with Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein bowling wonderfully. Winning the toss and bowling first seems to be a no-brainer at this ground. Four out of the five games played this season have been won by chasing teams.
