Issah Baraka Hits 32 Goals to Win Golden Boot in Northern Regional Women’s Division 1A League

Issah Baraka delivered a sensational performance in the Northern Regional Women’s Division 1A League, finishing the season as top scorer with an astonishing 32 goals.

The prolific forward, who plays for Dakpemah SC, was in outstanding form throughout the campaign, leading the scoring charts and playing a key role for her side. Close behind her was teammate Alidu Rashida, who also enjoyed an impressive season, netting 26 goals to finish second on the top scorers’ list.

Both players featured in all 22 matches of the league, highlighting their consistency and importance to Dakpemah SC’s attacking strength over the course of the season.

Issah Sofaya of Anfani Ladies finished third with 20 goals, while Alhassan Fuseina of Noble Ladies recorded 16 goals to secure a place among the league’s top performers. Nasara Ladies’ duo, Mohammed Ruhia and Abdulai Huzeifa, also made their mark with 11 and 9 goals respectively.

In the individual honours category, Alidu Rashida emerged as the player with the highest number of Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, collecting an impressive seven accolades over the course of the season. Alhassan Fuseina, Issah Baraka, and Issah Sofaya each recorded six MVP awards, underlining their consistent performances.

Abdulai Huzeifa also enjoyed a commendable season, finishing with five MVP awards to round off the list of standout performers.

The season’s statistics reflect the high level of competition and the emergence of exciting attacking talents in the Northern Regional Women’s Division 1A League, as players continue to showcase their quality and contribute to the growth of women’s football in the region.
