Sahil Parikh, an 18-year-old Delhi Capitals player, was hit on the face by the ball and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance after the injury.

A video has been doing the rounds on social media where Parikh is shown seated on a stretcher, as Delhi Capitals medical staff members and emergency staff can be seen wiping the player’s face with cotton.

Reportedly, the young cricketer was hit on his face by the ball during a practice session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The impact of the ball caused a significant injury, with the player starting to bleed as well. Emergency staff had to be called, with the player having to be rushed to the hospital on a stretcher in an ambulance.

DC is yet to provide any official update on the injury to Parikh, and further medical updates on the cricketer are currently awaited.

The Delhi Capitals return home to the Arun Jaitley Stadium after three games on the road, of which they won just one. With three wins and three losses from six games, they sit in a precarious position with their playoff hopes riding in the balance of how their season progresses. Axar Patel‘s men host the in-form Punjab Kings, who are the only unbeaten team in the 2026 IPL.
