Delhi Capitals secured a thrilling victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match No. 26 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Batting first, RCB posted 175/8 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to Phil Salt, who top-scored with a brisk 63 off 38 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 165.79. He shared a solid 52-run opening stand in 31 balls with Virat Kohli, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build on the start. For DC, Lungi Ngidi, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each to keep RCB in check.

In reply, DC got off to a strong start with KL Rahul scoring 57 off 34 balls, laced with six fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 167.65. After his dismissal, RCB clawed back briefly, but Tristan Stubbs turned the game around with a crucial 69-run partnership alongside Rahul for the fourth wicket. Stubbs then stitched together two more vital 40-plus stands with Axar Patel and David Miller.

Stubbs remained unbeaten on 60 off 47 balls, hitting four boundaries and a six, anchoring the chase beautifully. In the final over, DC needed 15 runs, and Miller sealed the deal in style, smashing two towering sixes followed by a boundary to complete the win. For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the standout bowler with figures of 3/26.

With this result, RCB sit second on the points table with eight points, while DC move up to fourth with six points.
