The Technical Directorate of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will organise the 8th batch of the Licence D Coaching Course for coaches within the Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA) as part of its ongoing commitment to grassroots football development.

The programme is scheduled to take place at the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre from 18th to 26th April 2026, with daily sessions commencing at 7:00 a.m. The course aims to equip coaches with modern coaching methodologies, enhance their technical knowledge, and strengthen the overall standard of coaching within the region.

This important initiative forms part of the vision of the President of the Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, whose commitment to football development continues to drive capacity-building programmes across the length and breadth of Ghana.

In addition to the training programme, the Eastern RFA will also use the opportunity to invite participants from previous batches 6th to 7th) to receive their certificates.

The Chairman of the Eastern RFA,  Linford Boadu Asamoah, will be present to grace the occasion, including both the opening and closing (awards) ceremonies.

Speaking ahead of the programme, Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah emphasised that consistent refresher courses and continuous coaching education programmes are essential to improving the player development pathway system and advancing the growth of football in Ghana.
