Gujarat Titans registered a clinical seven-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in Match 19 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium, Lucknow, on Sunday, April 12.

Asked to bat first, LSG posted a competitive 164/8 in their 20 overs. Aiden Markram led the scoring with a steady 30 off 21 balls, while Nicholas Pooran (19 off 21) and Abdul Samad (18 off 22) made useful contributions in the middle. Late cameos from George Linde (16 off 10) and Mohammed Shami (12* off 5) helped push the total to a respectable mark.

However, the visitors’ bowling unit kept things in check, with Prasidh Krishna delivering a standout performance, picking up a brilliant four-wicket haul at a tricky Ekana deck, bowling mostly through the middle overs. Ashok Sharma supported well with two wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada chipped in with one each.

In reply, GT chased down the target comfortably, reaching 165-3 in 18.4 overs. Skipper Shubman Gill anchored the innings with a composed 56 off 40 balls, while Jos Buttler played an aggressive knock of 60 off 37 deliveries, striking 11 boundaries. After their dismissal, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia ensured there were no late hiccups, guiding the team home with an unbeaten partnership.

Key Moments from Match 19 of IPL 2026:

Prasidh Krishna at his very best

Prasidh Krishna turned the game in Gujarat’s favour with a sensational spell, finishing with figures of 4/28. He struck at crucial intervals, removing key batters like Aiden Markram, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, and Mukul Choudhary. His disciplined line and length prevented LSG from building momentum, restricting them to a below-par total. He also holds the Purple Cap right now, with ten wickets to his name.

ALMOST….. A stunner! 🤯

🎥 How about that effort from the flying Glenn Phillips? ✈️

Captain Gill, experienced Buttler lead the charge

The chase was set up beautifully by Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler, who stitched together a match-defining partnership. Gill played the anchor role with elegance, while Buttler took the aggressive route, finding boundaries consistently. Their partnership ensured GT stayed ahead of the required rate throughout the innings. Gill also went past the 4000-run mark in the IPL with this knock of his.

Tewatia and Sundar finish it off calmly

After the departure of the set batters, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia showcased composure under pressure. The duo rotated strike effectively and capitalised on loose deliveries to seal the chase with ease, ensuring Gujarat Titans crossed the line with more than an over to spare.
