Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered a comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Match No. 16 of the Indian Premier League 2026 on April 10. RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bowl first.

RCB posted 201/8 in their 20 overs, with skipper Rajat Patidar leading the charge with 63 off 40 balls, including four fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 157.50. For RR, Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Brijesh Sharma picked up two wickets each.

In reply, RR chased down the target in just 18 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred with a blistering 78 off 26 balls, smashing eight fours and seven sixes at an incredible strike rate of 300. He was well supported by wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel, who remained unbeaten on 81 off 43 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 188.37.

For RCB, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya claimed two wickets each. With this win, RR remain at the top of the table with four victories, while RCB sit third with two wins from three matches.

  • Dhruv Jurel also reached 50 sixes in T20 cricket overall.

  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru now have 37 totals of 200+ in the IPL, joint-most by any team.
  • Jofra Archer took a wicket on the first ball of an innings for the third time in the IPL.
  • Phil Salt was dismissed on the first ball of an innings for the third time in the IPL.
