Matchday 18 in the Southern Zone of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League delivered competitive football as teams continue the final push in this season’s league campaign.

Hasaacas Ladies secured a narrow 1-0 win over Samatex Ladies, with Veronica Baah Kumah scoring the decisive goal in the 40th minute to seal the victory. This victory put them firmly at the apex of the league.

Army Ladies secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Soccer Intellectuals, thanks to a brilliant brace from Harriet Adjetey, who scored in the 26th minute before adding her second deep into first-half stoppage time (45+2’).

At the Police Ladies vs Ladystrikers clash, both teams battled hard but were unable to break the deadlock, with the match ending in a goalless draw.

Jonina Ladies produced a dominant performance to defeat Oak Ladies 3-0. Goals from Vida Opoku (39’), Abigail Bosu (44’), and Joyce Atimbila (45+3’) gave Jonina a comfortable halftime advantage which they maintained until the final whistle.

Epiphany Warriors edged Halifax Queens 4-2 in a thrilling contest. Jennifer Owusua (15’), Jackline Ntoso (29’), Beline Nyarko (53’), and Diana Abu (83’) were all on target for the Warriors. Halifax Queens responded through Keziah Adjei (21’) and Rita Doku (70’) but could not complete a comeback.
