The Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA) has officially kicked off the U15 Girls Regional Colts League, marking another significant step in the development of grassroots women’s football in the region.

The opening matches, played across selected centres, brought together young talents from various districts, all eager to showcase their skills and compete for regional honours.

Coaches, officials, parents, and football enthusiasts turned up in good numbers to support the budding stars, creating a lively atmosphere at the venues.

Speaking at the launch, representatives of the Ashanti Regional FA emphasized the importance of the Colts League in identifying and nurturing future female footballers.

They noted that the competition forms a vital part of the FA’s broader vision to strengthen women’s football from the grassroots level and provide structured opportunities for young girls to develop both on and off the pitch.

The U15 Girls Regional Colts League is expected to run over the coming weeks, with matches scheduled at various centres in the Ashanti Region.

With the successful kickoff, the Ashanti Regional FA has once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering young girls through football and building a strong foundation for the future of women’s football in Ghana.
