The Premier League returns in full force on Sunday, January 25, 2026, as Matchday 20 serves up a captivating slate of fixtures poised to influence both ends of the table.

With the title race tightening and the relegation battle intensifying, in-form sides will be eager to sustain their momentum while struggling teams fight for revival in what promises to be a defining round of the season.

Asante Kotoko vs Basake Holy Stars

Asante Kotoko welcome Basake Holy Stars to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium under growing pressure to rediscover their winning touch. Despite sitting third with 32 points and boasting the league’s second-best attack, Kotoko are winless in three games and have failed to score in consecutive matches.

However, their formidable home record, unbeaten this season, gives Abdul Karim Zito’s side a strong platform.

Holy Stars, 12th with 23 points, come in buoyed by a morale-boosting home win but remain one of the league’s weakest travellers, still without an away victory and having scored just three goals on the road.

Swedru All Blacks continue to impress on their return to the top flight, sitting 10th with 24 points and unbeaten in eight straight home matches. Their resilience has been key, especially at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

Aduana FC, fourth with 32 points, have seen their title ambitions stall after just one win in five matches. Still, their strong away form could prove decisive as they make their first-ever Premier League visit to Swedru.

League leaders Medeama SC look relentless. A dramatic comeback win last weekend extended their unbeaten run to 16 matches and opened a seven-point gap at the summit.

With the league’s best attack and a dominant home record, Ibrahim Tanko’s men start as clear favourites.

Karela United, eighth with 25 points, are winless in four matches and remain without an away victory this season, facing a daunting task against a side that has dominated this fixture at home.

Bechem United, 15th and hovering just above the drop zone, will rely on their impressive home form to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat.

They have conceded just two goals at home all season and are on a four-game winning run at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Heart of Lions arrive revitalised after snapping an eight-game winless streak and now sit seventh. While inconsistent, their decent away record suggests a competitive encounter.

Hohoe United remain deep in relegation trouble after six winless matches and persistent scoring woes. Confidence is low heading into this clash.

Vision FC, 14th with 22 points, are also struggling for consistency but arrive with slight momentum, unbeaten in their last two away games. This fixture could prove pivotal in the relegation battle.

FC Samartex 1996 continue to make Samreboi a fortress, boasting seven consecutive home clean sheets and ranking as the league’s second-best home side. Fresh from a vital away win, they sit on 31 points and remain firmly in the top-four hunt.

Nations FC, 11th with 24 points, have improved in recent weeks but remain winless away this season — a trend they’ll hope to finally break.

Berekum Chelsea are battling relegation but remain tough to beat at home, unbeaten in six matches at the Golden City Park.
Defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars sit second and arrive in solid form, unbeaten in five of their last six games and strong on recent travels. A stern test awaits Chelsea against a disciplined title contender.

Dreams FC carry quiet confidence into Sunday’s clash after extending their unbeaten run to three matches without conceding. With the league’s third-highest goal tally and a four-game home winning streak, they look formidable.

Young Apostles, 14th and winless in five games, are under pressure to halt their slide as they face one of the league’s most in-form home sides.
