Enzo Maresca was Chelsea men’s first team coach from July 2024 until his departure on 1 January 2026.

Maresca’s departure came after the Blues won just one Premier League game in December 2025. Their sole other win in December was the League Cup quarter-final against Cardiff City.

Chelsea‘s win percentage in the Premier League this season is 42%, after eight victories from the 19 games played so far.

In the 92 matches in total under Maresca, they won 55 and drew 16, putting their win percentage under his leadership at 59.8% – the highest since Thomas Tuchel’s reign in 2021 and 2022.

Chelsea finished fourth in the league in Maresca’s first season in charge – their highest league finish since 2021/22, when they were third. They also won the Conference League and Fifa Club World Cup in 2025.

However it was not just results that meant Maresca had recently come under increased pressure. Reported disagreements emerged between the Italian and the club’s hierarchy.

His final game in charge of Chelsea was a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday 30 December.

Maresca’s predecessor, Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, managed Chelsea between July 2023 and May 2024.

His win rate as Chelsea boss was 51%, emerging victorious from 26 matches of 51 in charge, but he left the club by mutual consent at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Former Chelsea player Frank Lampard had a second spell in charge as the club’s caretaker boss between April and June 2023. In that time, his side won one match and drew twice in 11 games. The win rate in his first spell was 47.4%.

Graham Potter led Chelsea between September 2022 and April 2023 – his side won 12 games out of 31, a win rate of 38%.

During Thomas Tuchel’s tenure between January 2021 and September 2022, Chelsea won 60 matches of 100 and lost only 16 games.
