The iconic Ismailia-Suez Canal Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for the highly anticipated Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 qualifier between Egypt and Ghana’s Black Queens.

The first-leg encounter is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2025, with kickoff set for 19:00 local time. The match promises to be an exciting contest as both teams vie for an early advantage in their quest for qualification to the continental showpiece in Morocco.

The Black Queens, under the guidance of Coach Kim Lars Björkegren, are poised to continue their resurgence on the continental stage after an impressive run in recent WAFCON which ended in a podium finish (Bronze Medalists).

The team will look to make a strong statement away from home before hosting the return leg in Ghana at the Accra sports Stadium. With both sides determined to secure qualification for WAFCON 2026, football fans can expect a thrilling evening of top-level women’s football at the historic Ismailia-Suez Canal Stadium.
