FIFA TDS: Northern and Ashanti Dominate Group Stages to Reach Final in Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship

The group stage of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship has come to a dramatic close, with Northern Region and Ashanti Region emerging as the top teams from their respective groups to book their place in the grand finale.

In Group A, Northern Region proved too strong for their rivals, finishing at the summit with 12 points after four impressive victories. They were closely followed by Greater Accra Region and GFA Elite Academy Kumasi, who both ended with 10 points each, but the Accra lads edged the Academy into third place on head-to-head advantage. Volta Region placed fourth with 7 points, while Western Region managed only 4 points to finish fifth. Upper East Region endured a difficult campaign, finishing bottom of the table with just 2 points.

In Group B, Ashanti Region were equally dominant, securing the top spot with 13 points from five matches. Eastern Region followed in second place with 10 points, while Brong Ahafo Region finished third with 8 points after showing great promise in parts of the competition. Upper West Region collected 6 points to place fourth, ahead of GFA Elite Academy Bolga who secured 5 points. Central Region ended bottom of the group with only 3 points to their name.

The standings now set up an electrifying final between Northern Region and Ashanti Region, the most consistent sides of the tournament. Fans can expect a fierce battle as the two regional giants clash for the championship title and the bragging rights that come with it.
