The Football Association has conducted a scouting exercise in the Middle Belt as part of efforts to identify and select players for the Elite Academies.

The exercise, held at the Atonsu Astroturf in Kumasi, brought together over 90 boys from the Ashanti Region, while an additional 70 players converged at the Penkwase Astroturf in the Bono Ahafo Region for the final screening session.

The session was supervised by a technical team led by FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McClaren, Elite Academy Manager and National Team Department official Joseph Tetteh Zutah and National U-15 Coach and Scout Manager Fataw Salifu.

This mission forms part of the GFA’s strategy to finalize selections for the Middle sector Elite Academy. The scouting programme is designed to identify and nurture exceptional young talents while replacing players who are advancing to Senior High School (SHS) 2 this year.

The GFA remains committed to developing grassroots football and creating pathways for young talents to progress through the national football structure.
