Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland withdraw from WPL

Australian allrounders Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland have withdrawn from the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) due to personal reasons. Pacer Sayali Satghare was named as a replacement for the former in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad. Leg-spinner Alana King, who played for UP Warriorz last season, will replace the latter in the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad. “Australian all-rounders Ellyse Perry (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and Annabel Sutherland (Delhi Capitals) have withdrawn from the upcoming edition of the league due to personal reasons.” “RCB have named Sayali Satghare as a replacement for Perry. Satghare will join RCB at her reserve price of INR 30 lakh.” “DC have named Alana King as a replacement for Sutherland. The Australian leg-spinner, who represented UP Warriorz in the previous season, has featured in 27 T20Is and picked up 27 wickets. Additionally, Tara Norris, who was picked by the Warriorz, was also forced to withdraw from the upcoming season after she was selected in the USA squad for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, scheduled to be held in Nepal from 18 January – 1 February next year.
