The Free License D Coaching Course for colts club coaches will be held in the Central Region from Friday, July 19 to Friday, July 26, 2025. The week-long training will take place at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.

This initiative is part of the GFA’s nationwide grassroots coaching development programme aimed at equipping juvenile coaches with the technical knowledge and modern methodologies needed to effectively nurture young talents. The course is being offered free of charge to all eligible colts club coaches.

This will be the second time the GFA is organizing the course in the Central Region and over 30 colts club coaches will benefit from the significant program. The Association aims at offering the free course to 900 colts club coaches all over the country in a 3-year period.

Participants will be taken through essential modules including coaching principles, child protection, football techniques, and player development strategies. Both theoretical and practical sessions will be delivered by certified CAF/GFA instructors under the supervision of the GFA Technical Directorate.

Successful participants will earn the CAF/GFA License D certificate, qualifying them to officially coach at the colts level across the country. The training also contributes to the long-term vision of creating a solid technical base for youth football development in Ghana.

The Central Regional FA has encouraged all registered colts clubs to nominate their coaches for the course, as the GFA continues to invest in building a sustainable football ecosystem from the grassroots.
