The Gunner’s race to sign Ajax left-back Jorrel Hato has hit a break currently. With the 19-year-old demanding promises about his game time and his opportunities to grow before making his move to the Gunners. As Gunners are making many moves ahead of the next season with the addition of many young players in the camp. With a want to big trophies next year after this long drought of trophies. Hato agents are careful about his move as can be too early for a big move. As it can ruin his time for the future. Having a good season with the Dutch side in Eredivisie the defender raised quite a few eyes. This transfer will depend on the assurance from the North London side. As manager Mikel Arteta is looking to rebuild themselves before the next season.

The Gunner’s interest in Hato comes as he set to add new faces in their defensive ranks. Originally the left back spot was held by Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko as a regular. But last season the breakout season Miles Lewis Skelly in the camps. Leading Zinchenko to a lot less game time than the previous season. With only a game time of 532 minutes in the whole season. Also, the addition of Ricardo Calafiori for the same position has left him with no game time. So Zinchenko is set to leave the Gunners before the start of next season. It will make him the second left back of Gunners to leave the squad after Kieran Tierney. This has made the Gunners look for fresh new faces to add additional backups for that position. But the assurance of regular games will be a problem.

Jorrel Hato is among the most exciting young players in the ranks of Ajax. At the age of 19 already a regular face in the first team for Ajax. He is also the youngest player to lead the side as captain in their history. With the player already being described as a World Class. He has attracted the interest of many big sides. But the Dutch side does not want to lose him as he is the main leader of the squad. With 31 appearances in Eredivisie this season he has played for a total of 2592 minutes and has 2 goals and 6 assists in the 2024-25 season. Having made a senior team debut in 2023 with 124 appearances while playing as an under-18 for the Netherlands in the European Championship. His performance of his has attracted the attention of several European teams around the globe.

Hato is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool. But it’s Arsenal who have made the first move to secure his signature by offering him a six-year deal at the Emirates.

Jorrel Hato is a very exciting player in Europe. At 19 years he has shown excellent maturity for his age. With interest across Europe for him, Ajax is not ready to let him go yet as of now. But the agents of Hato are careful with his approach to other clubs as he prioritizes regular game time. But the Gunners are currently leading the race to sign with a six-year contract at the hand for him to secure his services.
