The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opener Phil Salt pulled off a stunner to dismiss Priyansh Arya in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Final against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

The Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood bowled the fifth over of the powerplay. The left-hander Arya tried to flick the short-of-length delivery for a maximum, but Salt ran to the right from deep backward square leg and grabbed the ball. He realised that his momentum would take him beyond the ropes, so he threw the ball further to his right, stepped outside the boundary, and then re-entered the field to complete a comfortable catch.

With PBKS openers Arya and Prabhsimran Singh going towards the the target with ease, it was Hazlewood who once again delivered the breakthrough for RCB, claiming the first wicket and shifting the momentum back in their favor.
