With back to back runners up position in the Premier League for the Gunners. They are in the hot seat to win the trophy each season. Under Arteta the team has developed and grown into a strong team to challenge the Europe’s best sides. But with the clear improvements in the team it still lacks the final push to win with a help of a striker. A striker who can deliver at least 20 plus goal for the each season. For that the Gunners are in search of a perfect striker in the market. With sights on players like Gyökeres, Šeško, Isak the Gunners have now targeted Julian Alvarez. The Argentine currently in the La Liga giant Atletico Madrid. Already having experience in the Premier League coming from the rivals Manchester City to Madrid. Can this be the signing that can make Arsenal a team of champions for next season?

🚨Arsenal are the team that is pushing the hardest to sign Julian Alvarez.

The former Atletico director, Andrea Berta, knows perfectly what the former Manchester City striker can bring and has put his name among the priorities for the window.

The attacking forward switched sides from England to Spain coming from the Premier League giants Manchester City to La Liga side Atletico Madrid. In England he was playing as a shadow under Erling Haaland who was having a good goal scoring seasons. Due to limited chances and not as a regular starting player in the lineup he went to Spain as the main man. Under Diego Simeone he was grown in the La Liga scoring goals, creating chances and goal scoring opportunities. In his debut season he has scored a total of 21 goals with 9 assists in all competitions. His presence in the side has been important for the side in their attacking play. He has not adapted the league quickly but has also become the heartbeat for Atletico’s chances. Having one of the most perfect season as a debut player for his side.

The Gunners attacking system consists of players like Martinelli, Saka, Jesus and Havertz. These players who are young have a lot of energy and skills in them to create chances in matches. But they lack the long forms they require for all seasons to win leagues and tournaments. Also by suffering long injury spells and suspension as a result of less experience in big stages. This has led the Gunners in search for a new No.9 for their squad. With Alvarez it fits the Gunners style perfectly. His pressure off the ball and link up play with midfielders with a perfect finishing is a perfect weapon for the Gunners. His prior experience in the Premier League with La Liga and UEFA Champions League and World Cup. It gives him the experience that the Gunners need in their hunt for trophies by winning the Premier League.

If the Gunner want the player they should be ready to pay a huge sum for the player. With a age of 25 years and a contract till 2028 and market value of more than 100m euros. The Gunners have to pay more than to secure him. As the Atletico see him as a player as a pillar for their team rebuilding.

Arsenal race to sign highlights how serious they are to sign before the start of next season. With their eyes on several top strikers in the transfer market. The Gunners have to make their decision fast as the time to secure to top players will not stay for long. With players like Alvarez there would be many aspects that could impact the transfer. But the sum for this potential transfer will be the main issue.
