The Gunners are set to make a move for a 2006 born 19 year old. He is an Argentine defensive midfielder from Rosario Central. The 19 years old Juan Valentín Giménez has been under the radar with his good performance at such a young age. As a part of their long-term project the Gunners are ready to make a move for the young talent under Arteta. He has been one of the country’s most promising talent in the domestic league. Attracting the attention of top European clubs like German side Borussia Dortmund and English Premier league rivals Manchester United and now Arsenal. Born on April 27, 2006, in the town Rosario, Argentina. In 2014 Juan Valentín Giménez joined the Rosario Central youth academy. Also made debut for his youth club in the professional league in Argentina on April 7, 2024, at the age of 17 against the team of River Plate. At just the age of 17 he has since then then made himself an important on the field. Making important blocks and passing along with skills made him a regular starter for the club at just the age of 18. He has make himself an important player on the field. On August 26, 2024 last year he scored his first professional goal at the age of 18. Which helped the team win a game with a score line of 1-0 against Atletico Tucuman. Also helping him earn player of the match in many occasions.
He has also been part of his country Argentina at many youth levels. He was part of the U-17 squad for the national team that competed in South American Championship in 2023. Played an important part of the squad helping the team finish third in the competition. Directly qualifying for the U-17 World Cup. This performance of his helped in securing a call up to U-20 squad to the national team under head coach Javier Mascherano taking part in a number of international games.
While the Gunners have shown their interest in him in securing him for future. They are set to face competition from teams like rivals Manchester United.
