Mo Bobat reacted to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru reaching their first IPL finals since 2016, after beating the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 in New Chandigarh to enter the grand finale of the ongoing season. RCB’s director of cricket highlighted the strengths of his team and claimed to be proud of the performances of every individual in the team throughout the season.

Bobat said that the franchise has faced challenges extremely well with composure, bravery, and aggressive intent, and felt it reflects the overall character of the unit. While he agreed that the Rajat Patidar-led side has achieved many milestones in the current edition of the marquee tournament, he also claimed the above-mentioned traits to be the ones that mattered the most.

“We’re proud of our performance throughout the season. The way the team has faced challenges with bravery, composure, and aggressive intent reflects the collective character we’ve built this season. We’ve achieved several important milestones along the way, but this is the one that truly matters,” said Bobat in a release from RCB.

Players determined to get the job done: Bobat

He added that RCB had a lot of match winners and felt nice to see different individuals stepping up for the team in different matches. Bobat felt Playoffs are that period of a league which is to enjoy cricket after a long and gruelling league stage phase. He felt the final would be a great occasion for the fans and the players, and the focus would be on getting the job done.

“We have many match-winners, and it’s been fantastic to see everyone contributing. After a long and gruelling league phase, the playoffs are a time to really trust in and enjoy your cricket. The final will be a great occasion, especially for our fans, and the players are very focused and determined to finish the job,” added Bobat.

RCB officially became the first team to qualify for the final of the IPL 2025 by beating PBKS convincingly. GT and MI will take on each other in Eliminator. The winner of the match will face PBKS in Qualifier 2 and will get a chance to book a ticket with RCB in the final.Ā
