Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1, and ahead of that huge clash in Mullanpur, RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal wished his team good luck on his Instagram story. Wearing the team jersey, Devdutt Padikkal posted his picture with the caption that read, “Only accepted clothing tonight in Bengaluru ❤ Good luck boysss💪🏻@royalchallengers.bengaluru🤞🏻.”

Unfortunately, Padikkal is not currently part of the RCB squad as his IPL 2025 campaign got cut short due to a hamstring injury. Hence, RCB replaced him with Mayank Agarwal for the remainder of the tournament. In 10 matches this season, Padikkal scored 247 runs at an average of 27.44 and a strike rate of 150.60, including two fifties.

RCB Finished Second in the IPL 2025 League Stage

RCB are looking strong this season as they finished in the second spot on the points table at the end of the IPL 2025 league stage. After a successful chase in the last game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), they sealed a spot in Qualifier 1 and finished the league stage with 19 points in 14 games, with a net run rate of +0.301.

Both teams have faced each other twice already this season in the league stage. PBKS won in Bengaluru, while RCB won in Mullanpur. Now, they will look to win Qualifier 1 to get a direct entry to the final. Otherwise, a loss here will take them to Qualifier 2, where they will face the winner between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator.
