However, DC would be left with 14 points and would have to beat Punjab Kings in their last league match. Even then, their qualification would depend on net run rate and the outcome of the MI vs Punjab Kings match, where DC would need Punjab to beat Mumbai.
According to recent performances, MI looks more promising as they have won six out of their last seven matches. DC, on the other hand, will miss Mitchell Starc, who exited the tournament early after the one-week suspension of the IPL due to escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
