Among the numerous discussions surrounding cricket lately, Harry Brook recent IPL ban emerges as a trending story across the globe. His absence from IPL has created quite a debate between fans. Soon, they will be able to see him in the IPL. But Moeen Ali being a mature cricketer, has been no hard feelings about the decision, citing this as a common phenomenon in cricket at this level.

There is no denying the fact that England batters Harry Brook has charmed the world of cricket man with his consistent performances and attacking brand of cricket. His game-changing ability in clutch moments has also made him well known internationally. Yet he has remained on the outside of IPL cricket. Such bans are par for the course, Moeen Ali emphasized — most often made for strategic reasons by team management, not as an indictment of a player’s skill or talent.

“There’s highs and lows in a player’s career. That’s part of the game, Harry Brook will come back stronger,” Moeen Ali said while speaking on the situation. He also said that anything like IPL ban should not be seen as a career knock-back but actually as an opportunity for enhancement and polishing. The game of cricket is full of uncertainties, and players are required to adjust with every change in conditions and challenges.

Moeen Ali’s comment grain wise reveals reality of contemporary cricket, where team selection is mostly dictated on the basis of tactics, team balance, and player form. The IPL has a never-ending nature to evolve and players need to adapt to that nature with the IPL. Even the top players have been locked out for factors beyond their control. Indeed, Harry Brook’s ban from the IPL is sad news for his fans but only a phase in his exciting career.

Despite this setback, many cricket fans still have high hopes for Harry Brook‘s comeback in the IPL. A quality player and fighter; this will not be our last sighting of him in the tournament. Cricket being the fluid sport that it is, some of such players like Harry Brook should not get distracted and keep up with refining their game. Moeen Ali’s viewpoint is that players should take these situations as not just challenges but also learnings for their careers.
